so my friend meredith started working at this new place called Perch. granted i was starving, but i just ate there and the food was astounding. veggie ruben, consisting of avocado, sauerkraut, gruyere, toasted using a foreman-like grill*, coupled with a scrummy cobb salad of grilled chicken, mesclun, egg**, tomato, avocado, feta, and something called 'green goddess dressing.' all of THAT chased by a snicker-doodle/gelato sandwich. i would describe this meal with the word "ambrosial." * third time the foreman grill came up today in conversation. did you know george foreman made $150 million to endorse the "George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling Machine? **this being the 4th egg, 1st hard-boiled, that i have ever had in my life.
